Cheshire Independent Opticians Celebrates 11,000th Patient

November 26, 2019

Cheshire independent opticians, Taylor’s opticians, are proud to be a truly independent family run practice. Husband and wife team Keith and Victoria Williams are the practice owners and can be seen day to day in Frodsham looking after their patients needs.

We’re proud to announce that we have recently welcomed our 11,000th patient into Taylor’s opticians. We helped to celebrate the moment with a little gift of chocolates and prosecco as a surprise when she arrived for her appointment. We’re looking forward to welcoming more new patients on our countdown to patient 12,000.

So why are we called Taylor’s Opticians?

Keith and Victoria purchased the practice in 2012 from the previous owners Mr and Mrs Taylor, who had set up their Cheshire independent practice in 2000.

Taylor’s Opticians had become a well established practice over the twelve years ownership of Mr and Mrs Taylor, so Keith and Victoria thought it would be great to keep their name above the door so that everyone in Frodsham would still recognise the practice.

Who are we?

Keith is a contact lens optician with a special interest in complex lens fitting and the irregular cornea. Being truly independent allows Keith to select contact lenses from any manufacturer, to suit his patients individual needs.

Being independent has also allowed Keith to expand his knowledge, by allowing him time to work within the hospital eye service looking after contact lens patients. Many of these patients have complex needs with eye conditions such as keratoconus, corneal grafts, cataracts, therapeutic and cosmetic lenses to name just a few.

Keith is also a contact lens practical examiner for the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO), who qualify trainee contact lens opticians in the UK. Keith is always keen to encourage the highest of professional standards within the industry.

Victoria is a qualified dispensing optician and is able to interpret your spectacle prescription and guide you through the decision process of selecting the most appropriate frame and lens combination.

As a dispensing optician, Victoria is qualified to dispense children, complex prescriptions and offer general eye care advice. She is always happy to focus on you, to go the extra mile to help you get the best vision and comfort from your new spectacles.

As a truly independent practice, Victoria has a passion for selecting our unique collection of frames that may not normally be found on the high street. Being independent she can order frames and lenses from a wide range of suppliers. Victoria prides herself on giving our patients the best experience in the practice and is always happy to spend time with you.

Who will test my eyes?

Our full-time resident optometrist Kathy Jackson, and our part time optometrist Samantha Rusling are here to look after your eye health. Both Kathy and Samantha have many years of experience within independent practice and are able to offer more time to those who need it, when they need it.

Our dedicated optometrists have an eye for detail, and with the help of our Optical Coherence Tomographer (OCT) they are able to assess the deeper layers of the retina that are unseen with traditional eye tests.

What makes us different at our Cheshire independent opticians?

We are truly independent, we have no ties to manufacturers. Our mission is to provide professional eye care for you and your family.

We aim to exceed your expectations by providing a unique service, which is focused on you.

We’re always happy to help you and your family.
